API keys are scoped to your user and revocable at any time. We support a read-only mode that exposes no write tools. Every MCP call lands in your audit log.

Can Claude Desktop modify my books?

Only if you enable write mode. Even then, every write requires Claude to call a tool that returns a confirmation request — you tap to approve before anything happens.

Will this work with ChatGPT or Gemini?

As soon as those clients ship native MCP, yes — the same server will work. Today, Claude Desktop is the primary client, plus any other MCP-compliant tool like Cursor or Cline.
