Quick Answer

UK limited companies on AccountsOS can now file six Companies House change forms from the Companies House page: appoint a director (AP01), remove a director (TM01), change the registered office address (AD01), and add, change or remove an individual person with significant control (PSC01, PSC04, PSC07). The director and office forms went live on 16 October 2026 and the PSC forms on 19 October 2026, once Companies House approved them. They sit alongside the confirmation statement and annual accounts filings that were already live. Every filing has a review step, and nothing is sent to Companies House until a person checks it and confirms.

You can now file director, registered office and PSC changes with Companies House from inside AccountsOS. Open the Companies House page, pick the change, check the summary and confirm. Nothing is sent until you do. Once Companies House accepts it, AccountsOS refreshes your directors, PSCs and address from the public register.

The six Companies House change forms AccountsOS now files: AP01, TM01, AD01, PSC01, PSC04 and PSC07

Most of what a limited company owes Companies House is not the accounts. It is the small, time-sensitive stuff: a new director, a director stepping down, a move to a new registered office, a new shareholder with significant control. Each one is due within 14 days, and each one usually means another login on another website.

You can now file these from AccountsOS. The director and registered office forms went live on 16 October 2026. The PSC forms followed on 19 October 2026, the day Companies House approved them. They all sit on one page, next to the confirmation statement and annual accounts filings that were already live.

What you can file today

  • Appoint a director (AP01). Companies House now asks for the new director's 11 character personal code, which they get by verifying their identity on GOV.UK.
  • Remove a director (TM01).
  • Change the registered office address (AD01), within the same jurisdiction (England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland).
  • Add a person with significant control (PSC01).
  • Change a PSC's details (PSC04).
  • Remove a PSC (PSC07). The PSC forms cover individual PSCs of companies.
  • Confirmation statement, when nothing has changed since the last one, with the File now button on the Overview tab.
  • Annual accounts. Finn prepares micro-entity accounts (FRS 105) from your ledger, and once they are approved, they are filed with Companies House.

How it works

  1. Open Companies House in AccountsOS. The page has four tabs: Overview, People, Filings and Changes.
  2. Pick what has changed. A step-by-step sheet asks for what Companies House needs, next to your current details from the register.
  3. Check the summary and confirm. Only then is the filing submitted.
  4. AccountsOS follows the filing until Companies House accepts or rejects it. Once it is accepted, your directors, PSCs and address refresh from the public register.

Finn knows the page. Ask Finn in chat what you need to appoint a director or add a PSC, and it tells you what to have ready and links you to the page. Finn can also file the no-changes confirmation statement from chat, once you have told it nothing has changed and confirmed the lawful purpose statement. Finn does the accounting production work, and a person reviews and confirms every filing.

Your duties as a director, on one screen

The Overview tab opens with the five duties Companies House sets out in its letter to directors, each with its live status and a way to act on it:

  1. File your confirmation statement each year.
  2. File your annual accounts.
  3. Identify and record your people with significant control (PSCs).
  4. Let Companies House know about any changes to your company.
  5. Keep up to date with changes to UK company law.

With PSC filing live, the third and fourth duties can now be acted on from the same screen.

Who this is for

  • Founders running their own limited company, who would rather make a director, address or PSC change in the same place they keep the books.
  • Accounting and bookkeeping practices whose clients ask "do I need to tell Companies House?" The answer, the form and the filing history now live on the client's Companies House page.

What is not live yet

  • Confirmation statements with changes in the statement itself. File the change first from the Companies House page, then file the statement, or use Companies House's own service.
  • Corporate PSCs and other legal persons, changes to a director's details, company secretaries and share capital changes. These still go through Companies House WebFiling.
