Connect Deel
Sync contractor payments, invoices, and hiring costs
What gets synced
Contractor payments, platform fees, and invoice data. Finn can also calculate employment costs and take-home pay for any country using Deel's data. Read-only access, AccountsOS never modifies your Deel account.
Open Settings → Integrations in AccountsOS
Sign in to accounts-os.com (free for 14 days, no credit card needed). Pick the company you want Deel to sync into: if you run multiple entities, you can repeat these steps for each.
Open Settings → Integrations and find Deel in the Payments section. Click Connect.
You need admin access on the Deel organisation you're connecting. Contractors and managers without admin rights won't see the OAuth approval screen.
Authorise on Deel
You'll be redirected to Deel to approve the connection. Sign in with your Deel admin account if you aren't already, then review the requested scopes:
- accounting:read, sync GL data
- contracts:read, list active contractors
- payments:read, pull payment receipts
- invoices:read, pull invoices and PDFs
- people:read, link payments to the right person
All scopes are read-only. AccountsOS never creates contracts, modifies invoices, or moves money on your behalf. Click Authorise and Deel sends you back to AccountsOS automatically.
Initial sync runs in the background
The integration card flips to Connected and Finn starts pulling your Deel data into your books. Initial sync usually completes in under a minute.
Contractor payments
Each payment synced with amount, currency, contractor name and the original Deel receipt PDF attached
Invoices and platform fees
Invoices land as bills with line items. Deel platform fees are tracked as separate expenses for clean P&L reporting
From this point on, every new Deel payment, invoice or contractor appears in AccountsOS within seconds via webhooks. Finn auto- categorises each line to the correct Chart of Accounts entry, with the reasoning shown so you can verify or override.
Ask Finn about your Deel data
Finn can answer questions about your Deel account anywhere you chat with it: web, voice, phone, WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, email or Claude Desktop:
- "What did we spend on Deel contractors last quarter?"
- "Show me everyone we've paid via Deel this year, grouped by country"
- "Did Maria's October invoice clear?"
- "What's the true cost of hiring an engineer in Spain at €70k?"
- "What's the take-home pay on a €80k salary in Ireland?"
The employment cost and take-home pay calculators use Deel's own global data, so the numbers match what your finance and HR teams already see in Deel itself.
Advanced: connect with an API key instead
OAuth is the recommended path. If you can't use it (for example, you want a service-account token rather than a per-user OAuth grant), AccountsOS also accepts a Deel Personal Access Token.
- In Deel, go to Developer Center → Access Tokens and generate an Organisation token labelled "AccountsOS".
- Select the same scopes as the OAuth flow (accounting, contracts, payments, invoices, people, all read).
- Copy the token (Deel only shows it once) and contact us at finn@accounts-os.com to enable API-key mode on your account.
Tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and never shown again. To rotate, disconnect and reconnect.
