Multi-country compliance
E-invoicing for the countries that mandate it
Turkey's GİB e-Arşiv is live in production. UK Peppol is on the roadmap for the 2029 mandate. Invoice as you always have, we handle the government standards.
Turkey live now. UK and UAE on roadmap.
In short
E-invoicing is electronic invoicing in a structured format that governments can read and validate, not just PDF invoices sent by email. AccountsOS supports Turkey's GİB e-Arşiv system (live now for Turkish companies), and UK Peppol support is on the roadmap for the 2029 UK mandate. UAE support is planned for the July 2027 deadline. You create invoices the normal way; we handle the technical standards and submission.
Everything it does
Turkey: live in production
Turkish companies can issue GİB-compliant e-invoices today.
- GİB e-Arşiv format (UBL-TR 1.2.1) for all Turkish invoices
- Automatic routing: e-Fatura for registered businesses, e-Arşiv otherwise
- Pre-flight validation catches missing fields before submission
- Your Turkish tax number (VKN/TCKN) and tax office on every invoice
- Multi-currency invoices with TRY exchange rate handling
UK: on the roadmap for 2029
UK e-invoicing becomes mandatory from 2029. We are building Peppol support ahead of the mandate.
- UK mandate: all VAT invoices must be structured e-invoices from 2029 (B2B and B2G)
- Peppol strongly indicated as the UK standard (decentralised model, no real-time HMRC reporting in the initial phase)
- Standards finalised at Budget 2026, co-design from January 2026
- AccountsOS will support UK Peppol send before the mandate takes effect
- PDF and email invoices will no longer be compliant under the 2029 rules
UAE: planned for 2027 deadline
UAE e-invoicing becomes mandatory from July 2027. We are tracking the ASP route.
- UAE mandate: businesses under AED 50m appoint an ASP by 31 March 2027, go live 1 July 2027
- Peppol 5-corner model with PINT-AE format (UAE-customised Peppol International)
- Accredited Service Provider (ASP) integration required by law (no direct government API)
- AccountsOS will integrate an approved ASP for UAE invoicing ahead of the mandate
- 100 free e-invoices per business per year recommended by UAE Ministry of Finance

How It Works
Set up your company details
Add your tax registration, tax office and registered address in Settings. These are required for e-invoice compliance in every country.
Invoice as normal
Create invoices in AccountsOS exactly as you do today. We detect your country and customer details automatically.
We format and validate
AccountsOS builds the e-invoice in the required format (UBL-TR for Turkey, PINT-AE for UAE, Peppol for UK) and validates it against government rules before you send.
Submit or automate
Click Send and the e-invoice goes to the clearance system or Peppol network. Or let Finn submit automatically when the invoice is ready. Track the status and get notified of acceptance or rejection.

Real-world Use Cases
Turkish company issuing invoices
You run a Turkish limited company and need to comply with GİB's e-invoicing requirement. AccountsOS generates UBL-TR e-invoices automatically, routes them to e-Fatura or e-Arşiv based on the customer's VKN registration, and handles submission through the GİB portal.
UK company preparing for 2029 mandate
The UK is mandating structured e-invoicing from 2029, likely Peppol-based. AccountsOS will support UK Peppol send well before the deadline, so you can keep using the same invoicing system you already know rather than switching at the last minute.
UAE company ahead of 2027 deadline
You are based in the UAE and need to comply with the July 2027 e-invoicing mandate. AccountsOS will integrate an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) so you can send PINT-AE invoices over the Peppol network without becoming an ASP yourself or changing how you invoice clients.
Multi-country operation
You run companies in more than one country, some with e-invoicing mandates and some without. AccountsOS handles the compliance requirements per country automatically. Turkish invoices go through GİB, UK invoices will use Peppol, and other countries stay on PDF email until their mandates arrive.

AccountsOS vs PDF email invoices
| Capability | AccountsOS | PDF email invoices |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey compliance | GİB e-Arşiv and e-Fatura, live today | Not compliant (threshold removed Jan 2026) |
| UK 2029 mandate | Peppol support on roadmap | PDF email not accepted from 2029 |
| UAE 2027 mandate | ASP integration planned | Manual PINT-AE not compliant without ASP |
| Multi-country | One system, country-specific compliance | Separate tools per jurisdiction |
| Government acceptance | Automatic clearance and validation | Customer manually uploads, no pre-validation |
| Process change | None. Invoice as you always have | Export, convert, upload manually |
Why founders pick this over the spreadsheet
Comply with e-invoicing mandates without changing how you work
Turkey support live in production today, not 'coming soon'
UK Peppol on the roadmap ahead of the 2029 deadline
Standards-based formats (UBL, Peppol) that governments accept
Pre-submission validation so rejections are rare
One invoicing system for all your countries, not separate tools per jurisdiction
Clear roadmap: we build the mandate support before it hits, not after
Frequently Asked Questions
Is UK e-invoicing support actually built, or is it just announced?
UK Peppol support is on the roadmap, not live yet. The UK mandate takes effect from 2029, and standards will be finalised at Budget 2026. We are building ahead of the deadline so the support is in place well before you need it. Turkey GİB e-invoicing is live in production today. That one you can use right now.
What happens if I try to invoice a Turkish customer today?
If your company is registered in Turkey (country set to TR in Settings), AccountsOS will generate a GİB-compliant e-invoice in UBL-TR 1.2.1 format. It routes to e-Fatura if the customer has a registered VKN/TCKN, otherwise to e-Arşiv. This is live in production.
Do I need to be a Turkish company to use Turkey e-invoicing?
Yes. The GİB system is for Turkish taxpayers issuing invoices in Turkey. If your AccountsOS company has Turkey as its country, the e-invoicing layer activates automatically. Companies in other countries keep using standard PDF invoices until their own e-invoicing mandates arrive.
When will UK Peppol support actually ship?
We are building it ahead of the 2029 UK mandate. The exact ship date depends on when the UK government finalises the technical standards (expected at Budget 2026). Our goal is to have it live well before the mandate takes effect, so you are not rushing at the deadline. Follow our roadmap updates or ask Finn for the latest status.
What is the difference between e-invoicing and MTD VAT?
MTD VAT is HMRC's system for filing VAT returns electronically. E-invoicing is about the invoices themselves being in a structured format that governments can read. The UK's 2029 e-invoicing mandate is separate from MTD VAT. You will still file VAT returns via MTD, but the invoices themselves must be structured Peppol documents rather than PDFs.
Will this cost extra per invoice?
No. E-invoicing is included in your AccountsOS subscription. There are no per-invoice charges for Turkey GİB or future UK/UAE support. The UAE Ministry of Finance recommends 100 free e-invoices per business per year from ASPs, so even at high volumes the cost is designed to be minimal.
Can I keep sending PDF invoices after the mandate?
Not in countries with e-invoicing mandates. Turkey already requires e-invoices (threshold removed January 2026), and PDF/email invoices are not compliant. UK PDF email invoices will not be accepted from 2029 when the mandate takes effect. AccountsOS will still generate PDF copies for your records and for sending to customers, but the compliance submission must be the structured e-invoice.
Do you support other countries?
AccountsOS supports companies in 26 countries. E-invoicing mandates are rolling out globally over the next few years. Turkey is live today, UK and UAE are on the roadmap. We will add support for other mandated countries (Germany B2B receiving is already covered by our document ingestion, Germany B2B issuing comes 2027-28) as they become relevant to our users. If your country mandates e-invoicing and we have not announced support yet, let us know. It helps us prioritise.
Where can I read more about the UK mandate?
HMRC published a consultation on UK e-invoicing in 2024 and is running a co-design process from January 2026. The final roadmap will be announced at Budget 2026. The mandate is expected to take effect from 2029 for all VAT-registered businesses (B2B and B2G). Peppol is strongly indicated as the standard. We are tracking the consultation and building to the emerging standards.
