Integration

The tools you already use. Your books, up to date.

Build a Zap with AccountsOS as the trigger or the action. A payment lands in your payment tool and appears in your books. A receipt arrives by email and Finn files it. An invoice goes out and your team hears about it. It is in beta, so you join with an invite link.

Did the Northwind payment make it into the books?
FYes. £1,200 from Northwind arrived through your Zap an hour ago. I filed it under Sales.
FA Zap added the payment, Finn categorised it.

What comes across

Four triggers: New Transaction, New Contact, New Invoice and New Bill

Eight actions: Create Transaction, Create Contact, Create Bill, Record Bill Payment, Create Estimate, Create Task, Create Deadline and Upload Document

Three searches: Find Contact, Find Transaction and Find Invoice

Payment tool to books: a payment in Stripe becomes a transaction through Create Transaction

Receipt email to Finn: an attachment goes to Upload Document and Finn reads and files it a moment later

New Invoice to a message: tell your team in Slack the moment an invoice is created

New CRM deal to Create Contact: a won deal adds the customer to your contacts

Record Bill Payment logs a payment you have already made. It never moves money

How it works

Connect Zapier once, then stop thinking about it.

Let the tools you already use update your books, and your books update them

01

Create an API key

In AccountsOS, open Settings, then API keys. Create a key and turn on Allow writes, or actions will not work. The key belongs to one company.

02

Open the invite link

Use Connect on Zapier on this page and accept the invite. The AccountsOS app is in beta, so it is not in Zapier's public app directory yet.

03

Build a Zap

Pick an AccountsOS trigger or action in Zapier. When Zapier asks for a key, paste the one you made. That is the whole setup.

Why it's worth it

Stop copying figures between tools: the books update from where the work happens

Receipts reach Finn without you opening AccountsOS

Your team hears about new invoices and bills without asking you

Each API key belongs to one company, so a Zap never writes to the wrong set of books

FAQ

The questions people ask first

Is the AccountsOS Zapier app live?

It is in beta. The app is not in Zapier's public app directory yet because the public listing is waiting on Zapier's review. You can use it today by joining through the invite link on this page. Once Zapier approves the listing, you will find AccountsOS in the directory like any other app.

What does it cost?

The AccountsOS side is included in your plan. Zapier has its own plans and limits, and those rules apply to how many Zaps and tasks you can run.

Does it move money?

No. AccountsOS never pays a bill, and neither does Zapier through AccountsOS. Record Bill Payment writes down a payment you have already made and marks the bill paid. The money itself moves in your bank.

Which company does a Zap write to?

The company the API key belongs to. One key belongs to one company. If you run several companies, create a key in each and connect each one in Zapier as its own account.

Why do my actions fail while triggers work?

The API key probably has Allow writes switched off. Triggers and searches only read. Actions such as Create Transaction and Upload Document need Allow writes turned on for that key in Settings, API keys.

What can it do?

Triggers: New Transaction, New Contact, New Invoice and New Bill. Actions: Create Transaction, Create Contact, Create Bill, Record Bill Payment, Create Estimate, Create Task, Create Deadline and Upload Document. Searches: Find Contact, Find Transaction and Find Invoice.

Is Upload Document instant?

No. Upload Document hands the file to Finn, who reads it and files it a moment later. Files can be PDF, PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or CSV, up to 3 MB.
