How it works

Connect US and Canada bank feeds once, then stop thinking about it.

Connect your US or Canadian bank once. Finn does the books from the daily feed.

01

Connect your bank

Pick your bank, sign in with your normal online banking login and choose the accounts and cards to share. Read-only, and you can disconnect any time.

02

Finn categorises and reconciles

Finn brings in your history, then syncs every day. She categorises each transaction and matches payments to your invoices and bills.

03

Review and sign

You see only the exceptions. A person reviews and signs, so the books stay yours.

Why it's worth it

No more monthly statement downloads and uploads

Your books are current every day, not once a month

Finn does the production work and a person reviews and signs

For founders: connect once and stop thinking about it

For accountancy practices: each client company connects its own bank, and Finn prepares the books across your client book from daily feeds, with your team reviewing and signing off

Works with the rest of AccountsOS, so a group with US, Canadian and other companies stays in one place

FAQ

The questions people ask first

Is this live yet?

Not yet. US and Canada bank feeds are coming soon. Until then you can bring your bank data in today by uploading statements as CSV or PDF, and Finn categorises and reconciles them in the same way.

Which banks will it cover?

Chase, Wells Fargo, Citi and many other US banks, and in Canada RBC, CIBC, BMO, TD, Scotiabank and Amex. You connect accounts and credit cards with your normal online banking login.

Are business banking portals covered?

No. Separate business banking portals such as RBC Express, TD Web Business and ScotiaConnect are not covered. If your accounts only sit behind one of those, upload statements as CSV or PDF instead.

Can AccountsOS move my money?

No. The connection is read-only. AccountsOS reads your transactions and balances, never makes payments, and you can disconnect any time.

How often do transactions sync?

Daily. Your history comes in when you first connect, and new transactions follow each day. Finn categorises and reconciles them, and you review and sign.

Can my accounting practice connect our clients' banks?

Yes, that is the plan. Each client company connects its own bank account, and Finn prepares the books across your client book from the daily feeds. Your team reviews and signs off, with no more chasing clients for monthly statements.

What should I do in the meantime?

Upload your bank statements as CSV or PDF. That is live today, and Finn categorises and reconciles them. When the feeds go live, you connect your bank and the uploads stop.
