Connect Google

Gmail receipt scanning and Google Sheets import

What gets synced

Receipt and invoice attachments from Gmail, plus transaction data from shared Google Sheets. Read-only access, AccountsOS never sends emails or modifies your sheets.

1

Go to Integrations

In AccountsOS, go to Settings > Integrations and find the Google card under Gmail & Sheets. Click Connect.

2

Authorise with Google

You will be redirected to Google to sign in and grant AccountsOS read-only access to:

  • Gmail: scan for receipts and invoices
  • Google Sheets: import transaction data

This is a separate connection from the Google account you may use to sign in to AccountsOS. We use a dedicated OAuth flow for integration data.

3

Gmail receipt scanning

Once connected, AccountsOS periodically scans your inbox for emails that look like receipts, invoices, or purchase confirmations. Detected documents appear in your Documents tab.

Only emails with attachments (PDF, images) are processed. AccountsOS never reads personal emails, only those matching receipt patterns.

4

Google Sheets import

Import transactions directly from a Google Sheet. Useful if you track expenses in a spreadsheet or receive data exports from other tools.

Share the sheet with the AccountsOS service account (shown after connecting) and our AI maps the columns automatically.
