The TIC is the Cypriot tax identifier for individuals and companies. It has 8 digits followed by one capital check letter, and the VAT number is the TIC with a CY prefix.

How Tax Identification Code (TIC) works in Cyprus
TICs issued since 27 March 2023 are random numbers starting with 6. The same scheme covers individuals and companies.
The company registration number from the Registrar of Companies is separate and carries the HE prefix. Do not confuse the two on filings.
You can verify a counterparty's VAT number through the EU VIES service.
