Jobs across the book
A job for every VAT return, accounts and bookkeeping month. One board for the whole client book.
Jobs create themselves from the register the moment a period opens: a VAT quarter, a year end, a confirmation statement due, this month's bookkeeping. Finn works the stages it can, reconciling, drafting, diffing the register, and leaves your team only review and sign-off.
Finn moves the cards it did the work on. You move the rest.

How it works
How it works
Jobs create themselves from the register
The moment a VAT quarter opens, a year end passes, a confirmation statement comes due, or a new month starts, the matching job appears on the board with the deadline already attached.
Finn works its stages
Collect, reconcile, draft, diff the register, whatever a job's Finn-owned stages are, Finn runs them and moves the card on the moment it finishes.
Your team gets the review stage
A job lands on Review only once Finn's work is genuinely done. Reassign it by picking a name on the card, or leave it for whoever it is allocated to.
File, close, done
Review, file or close, and mark it done. Every move, human or Finn, is logged on the job so the history is there if you need it.
- VAT returns, annual accounts, confirmation statements, Corporation Tax, Self Assessment, payroll and bookkeeping months, all one board
- Recurring jobs generate themselves from the deadline register, no one has to remember to start them
- Finn only ever moves the stages it owns, a person always moves review, file, close and done
- An overdue or blocked job surfaces on the desk and on that client's home the same way any other exception does
- The checklist and activity log live on the job, so a handover between team members carries the context with it
FAQ
The questions accountants ask first
Is this a Kanban board like Karbon?
Yes, columns by stage, cards you can move, one difference: Finn moves the cards it did the work on. You are not dragging a card to say reconciled happened, Finn already did it and the card is already there.
Can Finn file anything from the board?
No. Filing, signing and closing a period are always a stage a person moves. Finn's stages stop at draft, diff or calculate, the review stage is always waiting for you.
What happens to a job Finn cannot finish?
It stays on its current stage with a named blocker, the same reason batch prep would give you, and shows up as a blocked job on the desk until someone clears it.
Do I have to set jobs up for each client?
No. Once a client is in your book, its jobs generate themselves from the deadline register and the client's scope, a bookkeeping month for a Full-scope client, VAT and accounts jobs from their filing dates, nothing to configure per client.
Can I add a job that is not on this list, a one-off ask from a client?
Yes, a custom job type covers anything one-off, with a simple collect, in progress, review, done pipeline, entirely yours to move.
