How it works
How it works
Month-end runs itself
Finn reviews each client's month, checking reconciliation, accruals and anything that looks off before the period is ready to lock.
Finn flags what does not tie
Anything that does not reconcile or looks out of pattern is flagged with the reason, so you clear exceptions rather than re-checking a clean month.
FRS 105 accounts, drafted
At year end, Finn prepares FRS 105 micro-entity annual accounts from the ledger, ready for your review.
You review, lock and sign
Clear the flags, review the draft accounts, and lock the period or file. Nothing closes or files itself.
- Month-end close runs across every client, not one at a time
- Finn flags what does not tie before you lock a period
- FRS 105 micro-entity annual accounts prepared from the ledger
- Companies House filing credentials set once, per practice
- You review, lock and sign. Nothing closes itself

FAQ
The questions accountants ask first
Can a period get locked without me reviewing it?
No. Finn prepares the close and flags what does not tie, but locking the period is your action. A period stays open until you choose to lock it.
What does a flagged item during close actually look like?
A named reason attached to the specific line or account: an unreconciled balance, an accrual that looks missing, a transaction that does not match the pattern for that client. You clear it or leave a note, then lock when the flags are resolved.
Are the annual accounts ready to file as soon as Finn drafts them?
They are ready for your review, not for filing on their own. You check the draft against the ledger and your own judgement before anything is submitted to Companies House.
Does this cover accounting standards other than FRS 105?
FRS 105 micro-entity accounts is what is built today. A client outside micro-entity thresholds needs accounts prepared another way for now.
What happens if I lock a month and then find a mistake?
You can reopen a locked period the same way you would in any accounting system, correct it, and relock. Locking is a control on the workflow, not an irreversible action.
