Inside one client

Open a client. The prep is already done.

Books mode shows a practitioner only what a bookkeeper needs: where the books stand, what needs you with the action already on it, and what Finn did since you last looked. Finn codes every unreconciled line with a confidence score, so you accept the lot in one move or fix the odd one.

Same product as the founder desk, scoped for a practitioner working someone else's books.

How it works

How it works

01

Where the books stand

Finn's status line and the Needs you list greet you with the action already on each item, plus what Finn did since you last looked.

02

Coding with a confidence score

Every unreconciled line arrives with Finn's suggested category and a confidence score. Accept the lot in one click, or fix the odd one.

03

Batch coding by description

Group repeat payees together, apply one category to the group and reconcile them in the same move, rather than coding line by line.

04

Reconcile with Finn

Finn matches bank lines to invoices, bills and documents and applies the confident matches. You review only the exceptions.

  • Books mode surfaces only what a bookkeeper needs, not the whole product's menu
  • Confidence score on every suggested category
  • Batch coding: group repeat payees, code and reconcile together
  • Reconcile with Finn, review only the exceptions
  • What Finn did since you last looked, always visible

AccountsOS · Finn codes, you confirm

A client's transactions page with Finn's suggested category and confidence percentage on each unreconciled line

Finn codes, you confirm

Every unreconciled line arrives with Finn's category and a confidence score. Accept the lot in one click, or fix the odd one and reconcile as you go.

FAQ

The questions accountants ask first

Does Finn ever reconcile or categorise without me seeing it first?

Confident matches are applied automatically during a reconcile run, and you can see exactly what was matched. Anything below the confidence threshold, or anything Finn could not place, waits in the review queue for you.

What is different about books mode versus the normal AccountsOS dashboard?

Books mode strips the view down to what a practitioner working someone else's books needs first: status, what needs you, and recent activity. The full product is still underneath it for anything deeper.

How does batch coding handle a payee I have never seen before?

A new payee arrives on its own line with Finn's best-guess category and confidence score, the same as any first-time transaction. Grouping only kicks in once the same description repeats.

Can I trust a high confidence score to just accept it?

The confidence score is Finn's own estimate, not a guarantee. Accepting the lot at a high score is a common pattern, but every accepted line is still visible in the ledger for you to check or correct afterward.

Does this look the same for every client or does it vary?

The layout is the same across clients. What differs is the data: each client's own transactions, confidence scores and exceptions, so there is nothing to relearn moving between books.
