AccountsOS vs Özel Entegratör
An özel entegratör charges ₺5,000–25,000 per year just for e-invoicing. AccountsOS issues e-Arşiv invoices directly through the GIB Portal, included in £20/month, with full accounting, AI chat, and 21 countries on top.
For businesses below the e-Fatura threshold (most Turkish micro and small businesses), AccountsOS issues e-Arşiv invoices directly through the GIB Portal. There are no özel entegratör fees, no annual licence, and no separate software. The e-Arşiv threshold was removed on 1 January 2026, so every Turkish invoice must now be electronic. AccountsOS handles this within its £20/month accounting subscription.
What is an özel entegratör?
An özel entegratör (private integrator) is a GIB-authorised company that acts as a technical intermediary between your accounting system and the GIB e-invoicing infrastructure. Instead of connecting directly to the GIB Portal yourself, you route all invoice data through the integrator's platform, which handles the GIB API calls, digital signing, and archiving on your behalf.
Entegratörler emerged because the GIB Portal has historically had capacity and reliability limitations for high-volume issuers. Large businesses (typically those on the e-Fatura network) found that routing thousands of invoices per day through an entegratör was more reliable than direct GIB Portal access. Entegratörler also offered deep ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle) that the GIB Portal could not match.
For small businesses, the özel entegratör model is expensive and over-engineered. A micro-business issuing 10–50 invoices per month does not need enterprise ERP integration. It needs a simple, reliable way to issue a GIB-compliant e-Arşiv invoice without paying ₺15,000 per year for the privilege.

The real cost over 3 years
Integrators charge for e-invoicing alone. AccountsOS includes full accounting.
Setup fees make year 1 especially expensive for integrators
No lock-in with AccountsOS; integrators typically auto-renew
AccountsOS includes full accounting; integrators do only e-invoicing
Note on exchange rates: Integrator costs above are in Turkish lira. At current rates (approximately ₺40–42 to £1 as of June 2026), a ₺15,000/year integrator licence costs approximately £360–375/year for e-invoicing alone, before any accounting software costs.
How AccountsOS issues e-Arşiv invoices
No integrator middleman. No separate portal login for every invoice.
Connect your GIB credentials once
Get your e-Arşiv Portal credentials from the İnteraktif Vergi Dairesi (GIB's interactive tax office). Enter them in AccountsOS settings once. Done.
Create the invoice as normal
Add the customer, line items, KDV rate, and amount. AccountsOS formats the invoice to UBL-TR 1.2.1, the GIB-mandated XML standard from 2 February 2026.
Approve with the SMS code
GIB sends an SMS code to the mobile number registered on your GIB account. Enter the code in AccountsOS to approve and issue. The invoice is registered with GIB instantly.
Invoice delivered and archived
The compliant e-Arşiv invoice is delivered to your customer and archived in your AccountsOS document vault. No separate archiving software needed.

When an özel entegratör is the right choice
AccountsOS is not the right fit for every Turkish business. An özel entegratör may be the better option if:
e-Fatura for large businesses
If your annual turnover exceeds the e-Fatura threshold (around ₺3 million for most sectors), you must use the e-Fatura network. Most özel entegratörler support both e-Fatura and e-Arşiv. AccountsOS currently supports e-Arşiv (GIB Portal route) for businesses below the e-Fatura threshold.
Deep ERP integration
For large businesses with SAP, Oracle, or bespoke ERP systems, an özel entegratör's API may integrate more deeply with existing infrastructure. AccountsOS targets micro and small businesses, not enterprise ERP users.
The bottom line: If your business is below the e-Fatura threshold (most small businesses in Turkey are), and you do not have an ERP system requiring deep API integration, AccountsOS provides everything you need: Turkish e-Arşiv issuance, full accounting, and 21 countries, without the integrator cost or complexity.
Frequently asked questions
Do I still need an özel entegratör if I use AccountsOS?
No. For businesses below the e-Fatura threshold, AccountsOS issues e-Arşiv invoices directly through the GIB Portal. There is no need for a separate özel entegratör. If your business is above the e-Fatura threshold (around ₺3 million annual turnover for most sectors), you are required to use the e-Fatura network, which currently requires either an özel entegratör or GIB's own e-Fatura portal (the latter is only suitable for very low volumes).
What happened to the ₺3,000 e-Arşiv threshold?
The ₺3,000 per-invoice e-Arşiv threshold was removed on 1 January 2026. Before this date, only invoices above ₺3,000 issued to businesses were required to be e-Arşiv. After 1 January 2026, effectively every invoice a Turkish business issues must be electronic, regardless of amount. Paper invoices are only permitted in narrow exceptions (system unavailability with documented evidence).
What is UBL-TR 1.2.1 and does AccountsOS support it?
UBL-TR 1.2.1 is GIB's mandatory XML format for e-Arşiv invoices, required from 2 February 2026. It is Turkey's national implementation of the Universal Business Language standard with Turkish tax-specific extensions. AccountsOS generates invoices in UBL-TR 1.2.1 format for Turkish companies. The older UBL-TR 1.2 format is no longer accepted by GIB from 2 February 2026.
How do I get my GIB e-Arşiv Portal credentials?
GIB e-Arşiv Portal credentials are obtained through the İnteraktif Vergi Dairesi (Interactive Tax Office) at ivd.gib.gov.tr. You log in with your existing GIB credentials, apply for e-Arşiv Portal access, and receive your API credentials. AccountsOS walks you through this setup in the integrations section. Our full guide on GIB Portal credentials is also available in the blog.
Does AccountsOS support e-Fatura as well as e-Arşiv?
AccountsOS currently supports e-Arşiv via the GIB Portal, which covers the majority of Turkish micro and small businesses. e-Fatura (for businesses above the applicable turnover threshold that are registered on the e-Fatura network) requires either an özel entegratör or GIB's e-Fatura portal. If your business crosses the e-Fatura threshold, you will need to register on the e-Fatura network separately. Most businesses in AccountsOS's target segment are below the e-Fatura threshold.
Can I use AccountsOS for both UK and Turkey companies?
Yes. AccountsOS supports 21 countries including Turkey and the UK. You can manage multiple companies under a single AccountsOS account, switching between them with a click. Each company has its own tax settings, bank connections, and compliance requirements. A UK limited company and a Turkish Limited Şirketi can both be managed from one AccountsOS login.
What does an özel entegratör actually cost?
Özel entegratör annual licensing fees typically range from ₺5,000 to ₺25,000 per year, depending on the provider and your invoice volume. Setup fees of ₺2,000 to ₺10,000 are common in year 1. At June 2026 exchange rates of approximately ₺40–42 per pound, a mid-range integrator at ₺12,000 per year costs around £285–300 per year for e-invoicing alone, not including any accounting software.
