How E-invoice (ETA) works in Egypt
Ministerial Decision 188 of 2020 bound taxpayers to the system. From 1 April 2023 only entities that issue e-invoices may deal with customs. Since 1 July 2022, VAT on a paper invoice is not deductible except in the cases the regulations allow. AccountsOS does not issue ETA e-invoices: a PDF invoice from AccountsOS is not an Egyptian tax invoice.
