Social Insurance Registration of a New Employee
Employers insure every new employee with NOSI on the actual wage. Insurance protects the employee and is part of running payroll properly. Under Law 148 of 2019 the employer registers the employee and pays contributions on the insurable wage.
Finn tracks your Egypt deadlines
AccountsOS tracks your tax and filing deadlines, keeps the books and handles invoicing for Egypt businesses, in plain English. Ask Finn about yours, no signup needed.
Who this applies to
- Every private-sector employer
- Employers taking on part-time or temporary staff, as NOSI rules set out
What to file
The insurance application for the employee, on a wage between the year's minimum and maximum (EGP 2,700 to EGP 16,700 a month in 2026). The insurable wage used must not be lower than the actual wage, within the minimum and maximum for the year.
How to file
With NOSI. AccountsOS does not submit to NOSI. Finn keeps the date on your calendar, reminds you before it falls due and shows the figures from the books your accountant needs.
Payment due
Contributions are shared between employer and employee. Confirm payment dates and the split with NOSI.
Penalties for missing this deadline
Confirm the consequences of late registration with NOSI. An employee who is not registered is not covered, and the employer has to put it right with NOSI.
