Current Rate (Any 12-month exercice, calendar year by default. Four acomptes on 15 March, 15 June, 15 September and 15 December, and the solde by the 15th of the fourth month after year-end.)

25%. A PME pays 15% on the first EUR 42,500 of profit per 12 months, pro-rated for a shorter year. The PME needs turnover of up to EUR 10 million, fully paid-up capital and at least 75% held by individuals.

Example

A company with EUR 60,000 of profit that meets the PME conditions pays 15% on EUR 42,500, which is EUR 6,375, and 25% on EUR 17,500, which is EUR 4,375. The IS is EUR 10,750.

How Impôt sur les sociétés (IS) works in France

The IS is run by the Direction générale des Finances publiques (DGFiP). The 3.3% contribution sociale applies only to IS above EUR 763,000, so it does not touch a small company.

AccountsOS works out the IS from the ledger and the acomptes from last year's IS. It does not file the return. The company files the 2065 and its liasse in its espace professionnel, or its expert-comptable files it by EDI.
