Can AccountsOS issue an NF-e or NFS-e?

Quick Answer

No. AccountsOS does not issue NF-e, NFC-e or NFS-e, and a PDF invoice from AccountsOS is not a legal Brazilian fiscal document. You issue the legal document through the SEFAZ, the city, the national NFS-e issuer or your provider, and AccountsOS keeps the books.

Detailed Explanation

## The rules

Sales of goods are invoiced with the NF-e (or the NFC-e for retail sales to consumers), authorised by the state SEFAZ. Services are invoiced with the NFS-e, now on the national standard. Simples Nacional companies must use the national NFS-e issuer from 1 November 2026.

## What AccountsOS does

  • Records each fiscal document you issue and tracks it until it is paid.
  • Matches the payment in your bank feed.
  • Reads supplier documents you send (the PDF copy or the DANFE) for review.

## What it does not do

It does not issue NF-e, NFC-e or NFS-e, and it sends nothing to a SEFAZ, a city or the national NFS-e environment.
