What is NF-e and NFS-e?
The NF-e is the electronic invoice for goods, authorised by the state SEFAZ. The NFS-e is the electronic invoice for services, now on the national standard. Both are mandatory, and AccountsOS issues neither.
Finn does your books in Brazil
AccountsOS keeps the books for Brazil businesses, tracks tax deadlines and handles invoicing, in plain English. Ask Finn about yours, no signup needed.
Example
A consultancy invoices a client. The legal document is the NFS-e issued through the city or the national issuer. A PDF from AccountsOS is not a legal Brazilian fiscal document.
How NF-e and NFS-e works in Brazil
The NF-e exists only in digital form, signed with an ICP-Brasil certificate and authorised before the goods move. The NFC-e is used for retail sales to consumers.
AccountsOS does not issue NF-e, NFC-e or NFS-e. You issue the legal document through the SEFAZ, the city, the national NFS-e issuer or your own provider, and AccountsOS records it, matches the payment and keeps the books.
