1

Enable 2-step verification

Wise requires 2-step verification before you can create API tokens. If you haven't already, enable it in your Wise settings.

This is a one-time setup. If you already have 2FA enabled, skip to step 2.

2

Create a read-only API token

Go to Settings > API tokens in your Wise Business account and click Add new token.

Select Read Only access. This ensures AccountsOS can view your balances and transactions but never initiate transfers or payments.

API tokens are only available on the Wise website, not in the mobile app. You must use a desktop browser.

3

Paste the token in AccountsOS

Copy your new API token. In AccountsOS, go to Settings > Integrations and click Connect on Wise Business. Paste your token and click Connect.

AccountsOS automatically detects your business profile and begins syncing. Your token is encrypted before storage.

4

One account per currency

AccountsOS creates a separate bank account for each currency balance in your Wise account. For example, if you hold GBP, USD, and EUR, you will see three accounts:

Wise GBP
Wise USD
Wise EUR

Transactions are synced per currency with full details: counterparty, payment reference, exchange rate, and fees. Finn auto-categorises everything with tax context.
