# What is Schedule Tax?

A tax on goods and services listed in the table attached to the VAT Law 67 of 2016, charged at the rates in that table instead of, or as well as, the general rate.

## Example

A supplier of a listed product checks the table for the rate before invoicing.

## How Schedule Tax works in Egypt

Which items are in the table, and whether VAT also applies, depends on the law and its amendments. Finn does not guess the treatment of a listed item: it asks and points to the law text published by the ETA.
